Roksolyana Zakopets. The violin does not tolerate betrayal.
It is difficult to imagine your life without music, involved in another field,when you are born in a family of musicians. A family which starts the day with notes… and ends with discussion of success of each with their instrument. From childhood parents by their example and inspiration, installed love and a desire to develop God-given talents.
At the age of six I could easily play Beethoven’s plays or….on the piano. However, it did not happen to become a fateful instrument, since my father, who is an oboe professor, was able to skillfully recognize my flair to violin.
It was he who revealed to me the wonderful world of the unity of the musician with the instrument by playing at home. Thanks to my parents, the aim to become a professional musician was formed at an early age.
Childhood
Although no one noticed any special talents in music during the first years of study, the specialized music school named after Solomiya Krushelnytska, where Oksana Tsap and Myroslav Sora were teachers, perseverance and desire to reach heights in the music world gave their result.
At the age of eleven I became a laureate of an international competition in Belarus, and had my first performances with an orchestra as well, also took an active part in master classes and concerts in Ukraine, Germany and Poland.
After graduating from school, I continued my studies with my musical father, Professor Igor Pylatiuk (Mykola Lysenko Music Academy), who played a significant role in establishing me as a musician.
The teacher’s room was always full of creative and competitive atmosphere, is considered as the strongest violin class by rights. I owe it to the professor that at a critical period in rethinking values in life, when music seemed to me as a wrong choice and I wanted to switch to medicine, he insisted on my talent and continued to help unleash my potential as a violinist.
Achievements
It lasted for ten years and won a number of international contests, as well as won the Grand Prix at the Chamber Music Competition in Warsaw. The quartet worked with famous professors Samuel Ashkenazi, Oleksandr Pavlovskyi, Volodymyr Mykytka and Grzegorz Kotov and others in class of the professor Artur Mykytka. It performed in Ukraine, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Belarus, as well as with many soloists in the string quintet. Besides the quartet, pianist Oksana Szymanska and I also formed a duet in the class of Professor Yurii Sokolovskyi, wish existed for over eight years. During this time we managed to win two Grand Prix at chamber music competitions, play many concerts at concert venues in Ukraine.
Due to work in various bands, the feeling of the stage, which still brings a lot of pleasure, and the commitment of the audience, I realized that I want to do this genre.
Nowadays
At the same time with the chamber music and many new projects I began my teaching career in Lviv Secondary Specialized Music School named after Solomiya Krushelnytska, and later in Lviv Mykola Lysenko Music Academy and in Hugo Disler Music Schule in Berlin.
Continued my career at Kreismusikschule Kleinmachnow i J.S.Bach Musikschule in Potsdam.
I fell in love with teaching as well as performing. Pleasure and hard work with small talents gave results. As the quartet’s first violin, I won the Grand Prix at the international competition for young teachers in Warsaw, and my young talents won their first diplomas at the competition in Zaporizhia.
I am often an invited guest of various master classes, as well as in the jury of competitions and festivals.
During my 8 years of teaching career, my students have played and still are playing concerts, participated in various competitions, won and gained experience. My teaching career has given rise to many young talents and this musical path continues.

Роксоляну Закопець я знаю як студентку і колегу,яка будучи ще ученицею Львівської спеціальної музичної школи імені С.Крушельницької стала учасницею Львівського камерного оркестру ‘’Академія’’, який у 2020 році відзначає свій 60-річний ювілей і є першим камерним оркестром, створеним в Україні (художній керівник – народний артист України,композитор, професор Мирослав Скорик, диригент народний артист України, професор Ігор Пилатюк, керівник і концертмейстер Артур Микитка), а в майбутньому, вже як студентка Львівської музичної академії імені М.В.Лисенка, завдячуючи своїй активності та лідерським якостям пройшла шлях до помічника концертмейстера оркестру.

Серед них зазначу міжнародні музичні фестивалі ‘’Віртуози’’, ’’Контрасти’’, ’’Шимановські-квартет і друзі’’(Львів), ”Київ Музік Фест”, ’’Cічневі музичні зустрічі’’(м.Брест,Республіка Бєларусь), Дні Львова в Кракові, Щеціні, Познані (Польша), гастрольні турне в містах Польщі, Німеччини, авторські концерти українських композиторів М.Колесси, М.Скорика, В.Камінського, О.Криволап, І.Щербакова, І.Карабіца, Петеріса Васкса та інш. Величезний досвід набувала в спільних концертах з видатними диригентами і солістами як Саулюс Сондецкіс, Роман Ревакович, Гідон Кремер, Хатія Буніатішвілі, Сергій Брусіловський, Cергій Кравченко, Михайло Вайман, Діна Йоффе, Сергій Едельман, Ірина Бочкова, Антоніо Амендуні, Клаудіуш Баран, Ігор Чєтуєв, українськими яскравими музикантами Лідією Шутко, Юрієм Бервецьким, Андрієм Бєловим, Ігорем Кушплером, Володимиром Ігнатенко, Олександр Востряковим, Етелою Чуприк, Йожефом Ермінем, Анастасією Пилатюк і Назарієм Пилатюком, Жанною Микиткою, хорами ‘’Трембіта’’, ’’Глорія’’. Приймала участь в мистецьких проектах ’’Сім Слів Христа ‘’ Й.Гайдна у Львові та в Софії Київській, кожнорічних ‘’Різдвяних музичних вечорах’’ у львівській філармонії , в яких виступала як солістка з оркестром.
Особлива пристрасть Роксоляни камерна музика, зокрема квартетний жанр. Перебуваючи на посаді завідувача кафедрою камерного ансамблю і квартету я міг прискіпливо стежити, скеровувати іі розвиток та зростання в моєму квартетному класі, як першу скрипку цікавого колективу,який швидко переріс у професійну концертну одиницю. Як результат, перемога на Першому всеукраїнському конкурсі камерних ансамблів і квартетів у Львові (2009 р.) .
Творчий потенціал Роксоляни, її чітка життєва позиція та бажання реалізації творчих задумів дає мені право сподіватися на динамічне зростання та потужні результати.

Roksolyana Zakopets is highly talented Ukrainian violinist, who tours extensively as a soloist and as a part of various groups in Ukraine and abroad.
Charisma, musicality, possession of the instrument tone are the most important musical qualities of my graduate.
Roksolyana has started studying in my class in 10th grade and continued studying in Mykola Lysenko State Academy of Music. We have done several creative projects during our cooperation, such as: performances with orchestras and solo performances with piano. The repertoire of the young violinist is becoming wider encompassing various epochs.
Chamber music takes an important role, there are interesting creative plans, participation in chamber music-making festivals and competitions. Young violinist always strives to acquire new knowledge and to have a possibility to work with other musicians.
